Our partner in China regularly rescues dogs who have been injured, abused or from the Dog Meat Trade.
Almost all of these dogs are unneutered.
There is no government help to trap and neuter stray dogs so we sponsor programs by paying for the necessary instruments, anesthetic and labor, direct with local vets.
These vets go to our partner's shelter once or twice a year and stay for 2 or 3 days in order to neuter as many dogs as possible. Often, these visits coincide with vaccination dates so when this is the case, the vets help with that.
Dog owners are also invited to go to the shelter and have their dogs neutered and vaccinated; free of charge.
We also offset these costs.
