When Renee first took Zach home, he was very scared and withdrawn. Given what dogs in the Dog Meat Trade experience it wasn't surprising but with Renee's love and patience he gradually started to settle in. Now, he is one of the family and loves to play with Renee's other dogs who include Zoey who Renee rescued from China. He even found play through a tennis ball. Something so many dogs take for granted but for Zach it was a massive breakthrough.
