Lucy was rescued by our partner in China after she was found under a freeway bridge at the bottom of a ravine.

She had been thrown off the bridge by a farmer for stealing a chicken.

She couldn't move by herself and when our partner and their volunteers took Lucy to the pet hospital, after manually carrying her up a long lane to the car, she was found to have a fractured pelvis, was anemic and full of parasites.

Lucy was taken to the pet hospital where she was given x rays and prepared for surgery to fix her pelvis with steel plates.

As Lucy grew stronger she was taken out to meet new people ready for the day she found her forever home in the USA.

Lucy had a wonderful relationship with our partner's founder, Ms Du and we are thankful for her hard work and care given to Lucy in her time of need.

Ms Du gave Lucy many experiences after her recovery from the surgery. The tabs below give a small insight in to Lucy's last days in China and as she settled in to life in the USA.

When snow fell in her town in China, our partner took Lucy out. It was probably the first time she had seen snow so she started to playing in it.
