Asian Dogs Rescue Allies
Huck Finn's Story
Episode 1 “Search For Help”
When we first brought Huck home, we knew he was going to need a lot of patience, structure, and love. My partner and I are both dog trainers and rehabilitation experts with years of experience working with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds, including several dogs that had been rescued from Meat Markets. Initially, Huck was here for rehabilitation and training before his rescue was able to safely place him into a family. We had Huck for a few weeks and realized he was one of the most, if not the most, traumatized dogs we had ever worked with. He was in constant flight or fight mode, refused food, did not want anything to do with humans or other dogs and would go into defensive mode if he felt threatened in any way, which was always.
